Incoming! #1 Painting The Space Marine Chapters

Your probably think what the hell?

Well basically I was looking through lexicanum at all the chapters just out of curiosity to see if there was a new chapter I'd like to try.

Well while looking at that I stumbled across this:

 http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Pictorial_List_of_Space_Marine_Chapters_A-L

And thought how awesome would it be to paint up a bunch of these chapters.

Well it so happens that's what I'm going to do as I just purchased a bunch of badly painted tac marines off ebay for really cheap so I thought I'd start up a little project.

This will most likely be my first choice as this was gonna be my next chapter.

Ok so let me know what you think of the idea.

Oh I almost forgot.....

No?

Ok well....

Happy Independence Day to my American Viewers.

  1. One chapter I always rather liked, but never got around to trying my hand at is the Tauran chapter of marines. The conversion potential seems amazing if you themed the entire force around matadors.

The Mantis Warriors are a close second for a variety of reasons as well.

  2. Yeah I've always liked the Mantis Warriors.

I'm really looking forward to doing this.

That collection of Marines needs to be here now.

  3. Executioners are a sweet chapter dude, plus you can join me and the others in the Badab group if you stick with them (Or even the Mantis Warriors).

I'm going to give that chapter a go one day, the colour combo is great and the purple/blue/silver metallic armour would be a challenge for me to paint well.

I like the vehicle schemes as well for those guys, the contrasting orange is a winner.

  4. Wow! looks like a nice chapter scheme.

Suggestion, you should get everybody to pick a chapter and paint up one marine and send it to you to add to the gallery?? (Might take some of the fun away from you though).

Looking forward to seeing the progress.
