By jove I think he's got it!
Yes indeed ladies and gents!
And it's something I can do relatively easily.
It is literally Foundation White and the a Flat Yellow hit it with a wash then highlight with white/yellow mix.
Excellent.
I would show you an example but I currently can't haha.
But hopefully I shall be able to tomorrow.
I can't explain how happy I am this worked after spending the whole day trying loads of different combinations.
Mostly resulting in a to dark of a yellow or an extremely streaky yellow or to thick.
This being only around 3 layers plus wash is less time consuming than all of the other things I've tried and also looks the way I want.
This won't be for most people because I seem to find most people like a more muted yellow.
I was ready to concede hand painting yellow as it was seeming hopeless and was quite ready to go buy some spray but this worked so saves me a walk and doesn't hurt my pocket.
I realise that it doesn't look extremely professional or anything but what I have found is that alot of the people I've seen on websites/forums with really nice Imperial Fists I find out airbrushed/sprayed them.
This being the colour that I want them which is a kind of lemon yellow.
If I can find my old airbrush I might have to break it out eventually and try it but until then I have found this method which works to a reasonable standard.
Also this is where I got the idea

*Edit* Also on an unrelated let me know how you like the new set up.
Thanks!
